Grief Ceremony Invitation

Dear Friends,

 We will gather to honor & mourn the loss of someone we deeply love and have loved.

Monica undeniably lived in many hearts, though for some of us, a physical embrace was never shared. Even though some of us did not meet her in the flesh, Monica became a cherished presence in our lives.

Through the sound of her voice and the essence of her contributions – her wisdom, her pain, her art – Monica became a kindred spirit many of us felt enlivened by. 

This vigil is a testament to the power of Love and the ways it reaches through our perceived separation. 

Though we may be scattered across distances, we are connected by the threads of shared affection and grief. We do not inhabit a diaspora of sorrow but come together to feel the interwoven-ness of our shared heart that echoes with the tension between love and loss. 

A contrast that will continue to mend us from the inside out. 

We invite you to join us as we honor and give thanks for Monica's life.

We will gather to share stories, reflections, be held in our grief, and sit in awe of the impact the boldness of her spirit has had on those blessed to know her.
